![]() ![]() ![]() Those are the only metrics that actually matter, all the stats are just set dressing, you can be behind in gold, CS, kills and objectives and still win because you took advantage of a weakness on the enemy team If you lost its because A) the enemy team was better or B) your team made a mistake and performed poorly No one wants to lose yet everyone has to and thats fine as long as it is fair.Īnd it is, people are just really really bad at recognising fairness when they lose No you didn't, because why would it matter at any stage or the game, nobody cares that you hit 300 CS if you still lose, the only metric that matters is how well you can work together and win, its a team game, your individual performance doesn't matter in the slightest, which is why there isn't a performance based aspect to MMR In one statement (make late game not matter as much) I destroyed your entire paragraph. I mean you're allowed to have that opinion, but you've yet to actually demonstrate why what i've said is wrong, which you might want to do before you start throwing around ad-hominem, because that doesn't help your case :) There are many solutions to your dog shit interjections that make the game better for EVERYONE. That won't change anything, the end goal of the game is the nexus, how you get there doesn't matter in the slightest So make end game (30m+) not matter as much as early-mid? Life experience, nobody said it "couldn't" be done, sure riot could add it tomorrow that you get more LP if you farm more CS, but just because you CAN do something that doesn't mean you SHOULD What experience to you have to make a claim that it can't be done? Because no one does it? This isn't a software issue, its a human issue, when you offer people a reward for doing a certain action they are more likely to perform said action to the point where it becomes second nature That's what software people are paid for, no? to figure this stuff out? But no one actually works at riot. If anything affects the amount of LP you get then people WILL make use of it and they WILL try to game it ![]() I mean, you seem to be struggling with your own suggestion here, if you're changing the amount of LP based on metrics in a match then you LITERALLY can farm LP, by increasing the metrics that affect how much LP you get You act like it's impossible to test out and do math. It would make the experience so much ebtter. You OBVIOUSLY wouldn't make it so that you can "farm" extra lp by not ending a game. The factor of difference for every factored stat would only make a couple points difference, which I already said. No because lots of people have looked at this same issue and drawn the same conclusion, including riot themselves do you think you're the only one that would think of it? You act like we can't possibly forsee the issues and work around them. This can lead to people throwing won games, there is a reason why the only thing that gets you points is destroying the nexus Lets say you rewarded people for CS'ing well and you gave them more LP for winning with high CS, what you've actually done, is given people more of a reason not to end a game where they are stomping because they can go farm for another 5 minutes and get even more LP So, let me explain why this wouldn't work, seeing as you obviously didn't look at all sides of this suggestion Sure you can, all team sports only award points for winning and not losing, they don't give you more points just because your team did better And this is why everyone hates/is frustrated with the bad matchmaking. If someone goes 10-0 and loses because the rest of the team was having a bad one or someone AFKd/tilted/started running it down or they suddenly just FF without your willingness, does it make sense that all should lose the same amount of LP? It's obvious the people who did better should at lose a couple less points than those that did worse. In LoL mmr seems just fixed on win/loss, with hardly any other factor at play and that's absurd considering how much "team based" this game can be. In LoL, how can this be applied? You need to add small factors for performance which don't exist, and this is a problem. if you beat a higher rated opponent, you get a few more points. ![]() But even in chess performance is applied. You lose, you lose rating points, you go down. You cannot rationally have an MMR system that only counts winning or losing in a team 5v5 game.Ĭhess is a 1v1 game, and where MMR originated. ![]()
